Property development: the types of site taking centre stage

With Site Finding and Development 2018 coming up this May, we take a look at some of the sites catching the eyes of developers and investors in a bid to meet housebuilding targets.

A new approach? The changing world of student housing

Looking at the numbers, it’s no surprise to hear that the student living market has been enjoying a high in the last few years and with 1.04m students now undertaking higher education away from home, the demand for purpose-built accommodation is growing. Ahead of Student Housing 2018 we take a look at the ways in which the world of student accommodation is changing the property market both at home and abroad.

The future of the London resi market – is the way we are living changing?

It’s safe to say that London’s residential property market has been the subject of much pessimism in the last few months but, it seems that we've regrettably forgotten alternative models of housing that solve the problem at hand. There is now calls for a paradigm shift in the London residential market and, ahead of our London Resi event, in March, we explore some of the alternatives that are changing the way UK residents are living.

Disclaimer And Terms Of Booking

  1. LD Events cannot accept responsibility for any of the views, opinions or comments of anybody present at any of our events, be it the Chairman, speakers or any other attendee.

  2. As soon as it is made, a booking is confirmed. We are of course very flexible when it comes to cancellations or amendments to bookings after this point. However, delegate attendance is confirmed with the conference venue twelve full working days before any scheduled event. For the avoidance of doubt, a 'working day' is Monday to Friday but excludes weekends and UK Bank Holidays.
After this time LD Events has to pay for delegate attendance as well as food and conference materials and resultantly we are unable to accept any cancellations on places after this point. If no cancellation is received before this twelve working day deadline, the full fee will be payable, regardless of attendance of the conference.
Changes of attendee name are permitted up to 24 hours before the start of any scheduled event. By placing a booking at one of our events, you are agreeing that you have the authority of the organisation you represent to do so. You also agree that you will be able to make a £ Sterling payment to us by bank account transfer or cheque directly to our UK bank account, without the need for international tax registration, forms, or reclaiming of fees from any other jurisdiction or authority. It should also not be necessary for LD Events to fill in any other forms or engage in any accounting registration process. Should a delegate be ill on the day of an event, the delegate place can be transferred to a colleague but not cancelled. Only in extreme circumstances, and purely at the discretion of LD Events, can a place be cancelled because of serious illness, and a doctor's note shall be required.
Bookings made less than twelve working days before an event are final for the same reasons detailed above, and cannot be cancelled.
Once a booking is placed through our online booking system it is then confirmed and can only be cancelled using the procedure detailed here.
We have a very simple cancellations system - this is done by email to info@ldevents.net. We will then send through confirmation that we have received it, at which point it becomes valid. Under no circumstances can any cancellations or amendments to any booking be made over the phone, or in person. Payments are due within 30 days from the date of invoice and are via cheque or BACS. By placing this booking you accept that invoice delivery is  via email and upon receipt this then needs to then be settled. You will also be registered to receive Conference information by email.
