How is living and working set to change in 2021?

With the repercussions of the pandemic waging on and the reality of Brexit yet to come, 2021 looks set to be a year of settling into new habits and behaviours. We’re looking at some of the key living and working trends to come in the new year, as predicted by experts.

Interview: Richard Donnell on the UK residential market

Richard Donnell is Zoopla’s Research and Insight Director and one of the UK’s long-standing property and housing gurus. We asked Richard to provide us with an analysis of the residential market ahead of our upcoming Resi Investment and Build to Rent Conference.

Key changes and responses to the planning white paper

The government’s Planning for the Future white paper outlines proposed changes to the current planning system. We’re taking a closer look at some of the reforms we could see and the reactions it has received so far.

Coronavirus Information

Back in December the Government announced that large scale business conferences of up to 1000 people would return on 2nd December 2020 (subject to tier). This of course is now currently subject to a further lockdown but the vaccine rollout has begun in earnest in the UK and we expect to be operating again after Easter. We should reiterate that our sole priority is the safety of all our clients and conference staff. We shall wait until May 2021 to restart our live events and when we do so we shall have lots of measures in place.

The Venues we are using for our events in the Spring have stringent Covid-19 policies in place, including sensible social distancing measures and a comprehensive cleaning programme throughout the whole of each conference.

We shall closely follow Government guidance and advice and we won’t hesitate to cancel and refund all delegates in full, in order to keep everybody safe, if necessary.

For delegates who would rather attend the event remotely, there will be online access available for both conference sessions and networking with all other delegates.

We also respect the desire from many of our clients to get back to seeing their key colleagues, clients and business associates in a safe environment and participate in key discussions about how to plan for the recovery. We are expecting huge demand when we do return.

Should we be forced to cancel any event due to Coronavirus then we shall refund all delegates in full. However, we don't expect to do this.
