The final quarter of 2018 saw the land values for urban development and greenfield land flatten, with regional values reflecting respective house price growth – values in the South East fell in line with economic uncertainties, whilst some northern areas of the UK and Scotland saw incremental rises. We take a deeper look into what’s going on the UK land market right now.
Lower provision of student housing across European cities such as Rome, Porto and Barcelona are highlighting areas where development is not just an opportunity, but greatly needed to meet consumer demand and raise accommodation standards.
The provision of student housing in the UK is currently the highest in Europe, with 27% of all students able to be accommodated. Despite higher levels of supply, the UK market is still a lucrative one for investors. We’re looking at where the current opportunities are for investment, the trends affecting demand and how external factors could influence the sector.
