Terms and Conditions

1. Formation of Contract

By completing a booking via this website, or any associated event webpage, you enter into a legally binding contract with London Development Events Ltd (Company Registration No. 05994382 trading as “LD Events”) for attendance at the specified conference, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Cancellation and Substitution Policy

All bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable once confirmed. Delegate name substitutions are permitted at no charge, provided written notice is received by LD Events no later than 24 hours before the event commences. Tickets may not be resold or transferred to any third party under any circumstances.
In the event of delegate illness, the booking may be transferred to a colleague. Cancellation on grounds of illness will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, is entirely at LD Events’ discretion, and will require written medical certification.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Invoices will be issued by email upon booking. Payment may be made by BACS bank transfer or by credit card at the time of booking.
Where payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date, any discounted rate applied at the time of booking will be forfeited and the full standard ticket price of £799 plus VAT will become payable. LD Events reserves the right to charge statutory interest on overdue amounts, pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate from the due date, until the date of actual payment.

4. Authority to Book and Payment Obligations

By placing a booking, you agree that you have full authority to enter into this contract on behalf of the organisation you represent. You further agree that your organisation is able to make payment in pounds sterling directly to LD Events’ UK bank account, without requiring LD Events to complete any additional documentation, registration process, tax forms, or compliance procedures — whether in paper, electronic, or any other format. LD Events’ sole payment documentation obligation is the provision of an invoice by email, addressed to your organisation.

5. Concessionary Rates

Concessionary rates for Local Authorities, Central Government bodies, and Registered Charities are available exclusively to organisations that fall within those categories. To qualify for the charity rate, a valid registered charity number must be provided at the time of booking. The local authority and government rate applies only to individuals directly employed by a local authority or central government body. It does not apply to consultants, contractors, joint venture partners, or any other third parties engaged by or working alongside such organisations. Where a concessionary rate has been applied in error, the difference between the concessionary rate paid and the full standard ticket price of £799 plus VAT shall become immediately payable.

6. LD Events’ Right to Cancel or Amend

LD Events reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel any event or any individual booking at any time. In the event of cancellation by LD Events, the delegate will receive a full refund of the ticket price paid. LD Events’ total aggregate liability in such circumstances shall not exceed the amount paid by the delegate for that booking. No liability is accepted for any consequential, indirect, or other losses arising from such cancellation.

LD Events further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change the date, venue, or format of any event, including the right to deliver any event wholly or partially online.

7. Health, Safety and Communicable Disease

All delegates are required to comply with any health and safety measures required by UK law, LD Events, or the venue at the time of the event.

Any delegate who, within 14 days before or after an event, experiences symptoms of, receives a positive test result for, or is required to self-isolate due to a communicable disease (including but not limited to Coronavirus/COVID-19), must notify LD Events immediately by email. In such circumstances, the delegate may either attend the event virtually where an online option is available, or arrange for a substitute delegate to attend in person. No refund or partial refund will be issued.

8. Liability for Content

LD Events accepts no responsibility for the views, opinions, statements, or conduct of any speaker, chair, panellist, or other attendee at its events. Attendance at, and participation in, any session or conference is at the delegate’s own risk.

9. Photography and Recording

By booking a place at any LD Events conference, delegates consent to being photographed and/or recorded on video, whether for live broadcast or future publication, in connection with the event.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

By placing a booking, you consent to LD Events collecting, storing, and processing the personal data you provide, for the purposes of administering your booking and communicating with you in connection with our events, including the provision of joining instructions, invoices, conference materials, delegate lists and any other professional communication relating to the conference.

Your name and organisation may be visible to other registered delegates unless you request otherwise in writing by email prior to the event. LD Events will not sell or pass your personal data to any third party. Full details of how your data is handled are set out in our Privacy Policy, available on our website. LD Events processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By booking, you also consent to receiving event-related communications from LD Events by email.

11. Website Accuracy

Whilst LD Events takes all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy of information published on this website or any associated event webpage, all event details including agendas, speakers, and content are subject to change. LD Events does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information on this website, or any associated webpage, and accepts no legal liability for any errors, omissions, or changes beyond its reasonable control.

12. Receipt of Communications

LD Events communicates with delegates exclusively by email. By placing a booking, you confirm that you are able to receive email communications and accept that all notices, invoices, joining instructions, and other correspondence issued by LD Events, to the email address provided at the time of booking, shall be deemed received once sent, unless LD Events receives an automated delivery failure notification.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the email address provided at the time of booking is accurate, monitored, and capable of receiving communications from LD Events, including ensuring that LD Events’ emails are not filtered into spam or junk folders. LD Events accepts no liability for any loss or inconvenience arising from an incorrect email address being provided, or from emails being blocked, filtered, unread or otherwise not received.

Should you wish to update your contact details, you must notify LD Events in writing by email at the earliest opportunity. LD Events cannot be held responsible for communications sent to an outdated address.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
